  In high-performing learning communities, leadership is distributed strategically throughout the school rather than being vested in one individual. This workshop explores a proven framework for instructional leadership that yields sustainable school improvement and increased student achievement.
  
• Fundamentals of Teaching for Learning: The Essential Elements of Instruction (EEI) Revisited
  Educators complete this workshop with a wide array of tools to enhance their teaching. The
  training emphasizes that the way teachers design lessons and how they deliver the content is
  critical to student success and in producing independent, motivated, self-regulated learners.
• Classroom-Based Assessment: Improving How We Monitor, Measure and Promote Learning
  Student assessment is foundational for improving student achievement. This training is designed to help participants understand and effectively implement the three major types of classroom assessment: pre-assessment, formative and summative.
• Curriculum Mapping, Unit and Lesson Planning: The Critical Connection Between Standards and Effective Instruction
  This practical training helps teachers find the connection between aligning content to Arizona state standards and making the subject matter relevant to students – how it directly applies to their future as students or workers.
• Differentiated Instruction and Response to Intervention: Doing Whatever It Takes to Ensure Student Learning
  Today's classrooms are more diverse in terms of language and academic readiness than they have ever been. This training ensures that teachers acquire an expanded repertoire of proven strategies to meet the needs of all their students.
• Keys to Instructional Excellence: Proven Tools for Improving Performance
  Especially popular with new or struggling teachers, this training helps teachers master the basics of managing their classroom, planning for instruction and assessing student learning.
• Mathematic Foundations: Teaching the New Math Standards – COMING SOON
  Designed to change the way educators think about and teach math, this workshop series links the math practices from grade to grade and standard to standard. The series is currently under development and will be available in the fall of 2011.
